These works were undertaken for the Primary care trust at the Newtons Practice Hayward’s Heath. The works were to upgrade the existing toilet areas to meet with DDA legislation. The works were to be carried out whilst the practice was open and accepting 1300 patients a week. We at Form Construction had to ensure the works were to be carried out with no disruption to the doctors, patients and the general day to day running’s of a busy practice. This was achieved by implementing a strict management of the works.
The works compromised of the following:
- Site set up and segregated area.
- Strip out of existing sanitary ware and fittings.
- Strip out existing electrical points.
- Re-positioning of water and drainage feeds.
- Door openings widened to allow for DDA doors.
- Re-plastering walls and ceilings.
- Installation of new electrical supplys.
- Installation of new doors and ironmongery.
- Installation of DDA sanitary ware and commissioning.
- Installation of Altro non slip flooring.
- Decoration throughout.
